A devastating cyberattack has crippled government computer systems in Georgia including those in the District Attorney's office prosecuting Donald Trump for election fraud.

The attack hit all systems in Fulton County, including District Attorney Fani Willis' office, NBC reports.

Police have launched an investigation after desktop phones, intranet and devices using county servers were knocked out.

'We do not yet have a specific time frame for when these systems will be restored,' Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts confirmed at a news briefing Monday.

'At this time, we are not aware of any transfer of sensitive information about citizens or employees, but we will continue to look carefully at this issue.'

The 'cybersecurity incident' affected the county's phones, courts and tax systems. The culprit is yet to be determined.

A notice to the public posted on Sunday stated that Fulton County was experiencing an 'unexpected IT outage currently affecting multiple systems'.

Willis has brought a 41-count indictment alleging Trump and 18 co-conspirators violated Georgia law by conducting a 'criminal conspiracy' to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Her office was previously embroiled in controversy after the indictment was leaked on its website hours before it was finalized by a grand jury back in August.

The court posted a list of 13 possible 2020 election tampering charges against Trump on its website early in the afternoon, but then hastily removed it, sparking confusion.

At the time, a spokesperson for the court told Reuters that no formal charges had been filed against Trump, but did not dispute that the docket was published in error.

Fulton Clerk of Superior Court sent a memo out later warning about a 'fictitious document that has been circulated online.'

But a day later, the court walked back that memo, saying it was aware that a sample 'docket sheet' was obtained by media from its website and circulated.

Officials do not believe there has been a data breach, but said they were not sure when the systems would be back Online Sex

A spokesperson for the FBI's Atlanta field office told NBC it had been 'in contact' over the breach.

'While we cannot comment on any specific incidents, the FBI routinely advises the public and private sectors about cyber threats in order to help them guard against the actions of cyber criminals,' Tony Thomas said in the statement.

'We work with our interagency partners to identify, pursue, and defeat all those who partake in cybercrime.'

A spokesperson for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said it was not investigating the matter.

Representatives for Willis declined to comment when approached by the outlet.

Willis also faces  accusations of an inappropriate relationship with her junior Nathan Wade, the prosecutor she hired to pursue the case against the former president.

Last week a judge ruled that Wade's divorce documents could be unsealed, potentially shedding further light on the nature of his relationship with his boss.

The divorce case is between Wade and his estranged wife of 26 years, Jocelyn Wade, who alleges her husband had an inappropriate relationship with Willis.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing and called the election fraud charges politically motivated.
